Terms of Use

1. Not a medical device

The app is a logbook for readings you take with your own blood pressure monitor or glucose meter. It does not measure blood pressure, blood sugar or anything else, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Reference categories, averages, the estimated A1C and insights are information about what you logged, not medical advice. Always follow your doctor’s advice and never delay seeking it because of something in the app. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

How the numbers are worked out

• Every value comes from you or from Apple Health / Health Connect. The app never measures or estimates a reading.
• Blood pressure categories follow the 2017 ACC/AHA guideline (normal under 120/80, elevated 120–129/<80, stage 1 130–139 or 80–89, stage 2 140/90 and above, crisis above 180/120).
• Blood sugar ranges follow the American Diabetes Association: 70–99 mg/dL fasting or before a meal, under 140 mg/dL after a meal; under 70 is low.
• An average of two or three readings is their arithmetic mean, rounded. Averages and time in range in reports use the readings in the chosen period.
• The estimated A1C uses the ADAG formula (Nathan et al., Diabetes Care, 2008): A1C = (average glucose in mg/dL + 46.7) ÷ 28.7. It needs at least 14 readings, is only an estimate and is not a lab test.
• Your doctor may set different targets for you. Their advice comes first.

The app has not been cleared or approved as a medical device by the FDA or any other regulator, and is not one.

2. Your data

Your readings belong to you. How we handle them is described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for keeping your phone secure. If you don’t use the optional backup, losing or resetting your phone can lose your data.

3. Pro subscription and purchases

• The app is free. BP & Sugar Log Pro is optional and adds extra features. Your own data, the doctor report and the export are never part of Pro.
• Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID (or Google account) when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at its end unless cancelled at least 24 hours before. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
• Manage or cancel in your device settings (on iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

4. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the app or the backup service: no attempts to access other people’s data, to disrupt the service, or to reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows.

5. Account

An account is only needed for the backup. You can delete it at any time in the app. We may suspend an account that is used to abuse the service.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the app and backup available but can’t guarantee they will always be uninterrupted or error free. We may change or discontinue features; if we ever shut down the backup service, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data.

7. Liability

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, BioValley.Ma is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on information in the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version; continuing to use the app means you accept it.
